This was my very first oil painting, taken from a photo found in National Geographic of a beautiful school girl from Pakistan. The photo scene had 5 or 6 young girls dressed similarly. I believe they were 10 to 12 years old. I was in an art class when I painted this, and she received many. many layers of facial paint before I finished. (I couldn't get it right). I often wonder what's happened to her and her school mates.
